Enviros (now SKM Enviros) pioneered the on site treatment of leachate in the UK, and is the clear market leader in the field, with over 80 leachate treatment plants operating in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, South Africa, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
These plants treat in excess of 13,000 cubic metres of leachate each day, of which over 8,000 cubic metres is discharged into surface watercourses to high quality discharge consents.
We have commissioned three leachate treatment plant in the southern hemisphere, one near Cape Town and two in the Durban area of South Africa. Work on our fourth plant in RSA, an upgrade on our first, has started.
In the US our leachate treatment project is complete, and and our two leachate treatment plants in Malaysia completed in 2006 and 2007 continue to operate successfully.
In South Africa, our fourth leachate treatment plant project has commenced design.
At Ballyfodrin Landfill (NI) we are commissioning an upgraded and rebuilt leachate treatment plant.
